Bryan
Gibson, a native of the
Fort Wayne, Indiana
area, has performed as the Third Horn for the Lima
Symphony Orchestra since
1995. He has also instructed
horn at Grace College
in Warsaw, Indiana from 1998 until 2010. Bryan has performed as Principal horn in the Symphony
of the Lakes in Warsaw, Indiana since
2005 and the Jaenicke
Consort chamber ensemble since 1991.
He also peformed for the South
Bend Symphony beginning from
2004 through 2015. Playing horn for a year of tours in the
Bay Street Brassworks
beginning in March of 2012 was a most recent performance adventure.
Bryan began his professional music career in 1982
when he was accepted into the United States Marine Band music
program. Although military ceremonies were the bands' primary
responsibility, civilian performances included: The Statue of
Liberty Rededication Festival on the U.S.S. Independence in New York
Harbor; Grand Ol' Opry in Nashville Tennessee; Saint Louis VP Fairs;
and Spoletto Festivals in Charleston, South Carolina, just to name a
very few.
Bryan left the Marine Corps in 1988 after attaining
the rank of Sergeant. Upon returning to
Fort Wayne, Indiana,
he became a member of the Fort Wayne Summer Symphony. Bryan has studied with Tullio Tutrinoli, Mike
Lewellen, Fred Ehnes, Jerry Montgomery, and Dan Gingrich.
Bryan is currently a guest of many
regional performing organizations including: The Bay Street
Brassworks Brass Quintet, The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, The
Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, The South West Michigan Symphony
Orchestra, and The Springfield (OH) Symphony Orchestra, The Illinois
Symphony and The Battle Creek Symphony (MI). His education
includes studies at Indiana
University, Ball State University and the Armed Forces School of
Music.
